The hot die forging press is a special forging press used to mass-produce volume die forging of ferrous and nonferrous metal.

     The hot die presses have been used widely to the die forging production of automotive industry, farm machinery, bearing industry, valve, tool, petroleum industry, engineering machinery and national defence industry. They can complete the forming technique of die forging for parts of blades, spikes, gears, valves, dozer’s scraping belts etc.
 
     Our factory develops two series of DRF and DRC hot die forging presses and can provide a single hot die forging press, die clamp of the press and other accessory machinery, such as forging roll, edge trimmer, fine press, mechanical arm and heating device, and can also provide a whole set of automatic forging production line.
 
1.      The DRF hot die forging press:
 
     It was first developed by our factory in China and has been produced for more than 30 years. More than 50 sets of the press spread all over the country and are sold to Roumania.
 
     Structure features: The DRF hot die forging press has reliable structure and its maintenance is easy. The press adopts pre-tighten framework, upper drive, double pivoted connecting rod, working mechanism with elephant sliding block of rear secondary slideway. The hot die forging press of mechanical type driven by eccentric shaft has a good rigidity and its forged piece has a high precision.
 
     The press adopts integral or combined type of pre-tighten framework, herringbone gear and one or two stage of belt drive and use narrow v-belt. Two ends of eccentric shaft are equipped with pneumatic disc or block clutch and brake, mechanical top and bottom knockout. The bottom knockout has high position holding and allows a certain holding time after forged piece is pushed out the die space, so operator will have enough time to take the forged piece out. A double balancing cylinder is used to balance the slide block. The adjustment of closed height is lower adjusting. Rising and dropping of working table is made by moving wedge block. The closed height is adjusted automatically by mechanical or hydraulic drive and is equipped with indication mechanism. The shaft and hub of the press are connected with expansion sleeve and expansion pin, so it is easy to be assembled and disassembled. The press sets up the central lubricating system of high pressure. Through oil distributor, the oil pump provides oil to each lubricating point. The lubricating system is equipped with lubricating monitoring system. The press adopts PLC control system. When working, the control system will indicate beating force, monitor lubricating system, indicate and monitor the temperature of eccentric shaft bush and connecting rod bush, control the coordinating work of the clutch and the brake and control correct stop position at upper dead point. The press has been inspected strictly and tested before be assemblied.
 
     Through continuous process of development-production-use-development, this series of press has a reasonable structure. Owning to use the new technique, its use is reliable, energy consumption is low, efficiency is high, and it meets the requirement of fast development and has the world level of the nineties.
 
2. DRC hot die forging press:
 
     Structure features: structure is compact, manufacture is easy, operation is simple, control is advanced, maintenance is convenient, press rigidity is good, product precision is high, anti-eccentric capability is high, PLC control is used. It has a whole solid cast steel framework and X slideway which gap can be adjusted, so the rigidity is good. Two ends of eccentric shaft are equipped with block type of brake and clutch. The cams of brake and bottom knockout are connected with the eccentric shaft by using expansion sleeve, so it’s easy to be assembled and disassembled. The brake has cooling water. The clutch and brake are coordinated to work by electropneumatic interlock. The clutch can pass into high pressure air to increase the torque, so the press can be actuated to release from accident stop.
 
     The press is a structure of long slide block and integral connecting rod. The crank-guide pushes the slide block to reciprocate up and down. The drive of the press is one stage drive of motor pulley and adopts narrow V-belt. The closed height of the press is adjusted by using eccentric-worm gear type of upper adjusting device and balancing slide block part of double balancing cylinder.
 
      The top knockout of cam pendulum arm mechanism is installed on the slide block. It can realize the die sinking and knockout through the swing of the connecting rod. The mechanical type of the bottom knockout has high position holding and the knockout at top and bottom are reliable, so it is propitious to realize the die sinking and knockout and is easy to realize the mechanization
.
     The press is equipped with high pressure central lubricating system. The oil pump will lubricate automatically at each lubricating point through oil distributor. The press has also lubricating monitor. The press adopts PLC control system. The control system indicates tonnage in digit when forging, monitors lubricating condition for each lubricating point, monitors and indicates working temperature of bush for eccentric shaft and connecting rod, and controls correct stop at upper dead point. It has protection of safety operation and is perfect die forging equipment.
