Outer rings are components employed insec ond-generation wheel bearings, directly encasing the bearing balls.  High demands are placed on the purity of the material used for outer rings as well as on the quality of the processes needed to produce them.  The raw parts are processed on automated forging machines with controlled cooling belts to guarantee a constant time-temperature distribution, which is necessary for achieving the final product quality.  Preturning is carried out in two clampings on highly efficient CNC-turning lathes using special tools.
